Aspiring Physician Scientist | Computational Biology | Immuno-Oncology
As an aspiring physician-scientist, I am motivated by the nexus of computer science, genomics, and immunology as an approach to better understand and treat cancer.
My research so far has centered around building computational tools and analyzing genomic data to decode biological phenomena. In college, I built software to elucidate the transcriptome of a non-model microbe with potential climate change applications. And in industry, I investigated the human transcriptome to support multiple drug discovery programs for indications along the gut-brain axis.
By leveraging these experiences, I am now exploring the brain tumor immune microenvironment at single cell resolution. I'm confident that a data-driven investigation of this biological system can help us devise better therapies for patients fighting brain tumors.
Beyond biomedical research, I'm passionate about applications of software engineering for social good, and supporting digital interventions for community health.
